On Monday I have an interview at not one, but two(!) different leather goods companies. Great news! Except I don’t know a damn thing about leather and I have nothing in my portfolio that is even remotely related to leather goods. Why did these people call me? And the lab at Parsons is closed all weekend because of “spring break” so anything I do has to be done by hand (barf). Kinda screwed!

Children of the corn!
I applied for this job as a girl’s designer and was asked to send some examples of my work. I’ve done plenty of girl’s clothes at the crew, but I’ve never actually had to draw a child! Believe it or not, these are way less creepy than the ones in my drawing book.
Better keep my day job. Oh wait. I don’t have one. Blerg.
2 years ago • 23 notesARGH! Last night I came home and I guess I was especially exhausted or something because I feel asleep with my contacts in, which I NEVER DO. For a reason. Because it makes my eyes hurt like crazy hell the next day. Which they do now. They won’t stop tearing, and that has made my nose run constantly and turned me into a mouth breather, which is making me nauseous. Won’t somebody please come club me over the head and put me out of my misery.

This week I have been watching the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. It has been funny, but only because funny people have been guests. And “Slow Jam the News” is pretty funny, but mostly because of that guy from the Roots. Jimmy is no Conan, but I keep reading that even Conan was not particularly funny for the first year or two. I was like a zygote back then (zigote? nah), so what do I know. But he was just a writer, and Jimmy is sort of an actor. Expectations…whatevs. Anyways, the first show featured Justin Timberlake, and he and JF talked about the Barry Gibb Talk Show, which is awesome. Talkin’ bout chest hair. Talkin’ bout really important issues. The next night featured Tina Fey. And there was this funny preview saying something like, “For years they sat side by side” (Weekend Update). And it had some funny clips, just little snippets. But the last one, I was sure I remembered. And though it took like 20 hours to successfully google it, I have found it! Best part is, I remember watching this when it was new, back in like 2004 at my mom’s house. With a fancy lady named Mrs. Foofy. And probs guacamole.
Er, behold, Jimmy Fallon’s last sketch on SNL: Summer
Addendum: I miss Horatio Sanz. And Maya Rudolph. And there is one of my world famous three-armed hugs in this video. Gross. Awesome!
