Laffs.
This week I have been watching the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. It has been funny, but only because funny people have been guests. And “Slow Jam the News” is pretty funny, but mostly because of that guy from the Roots. Jimmy is no Conan, but I keep reading that even Conan was not particularly funny for the first year or two. I was like a zygote back then (zigote? nah), so what do I know. But he was just a writer, and Jimmy is sort of an actor. Expectations…whatevs. Anyways, the first show featured Justin Timberlake, and he and JF talked about the Barry Gibb Talk Show, which is awesome. Talkin’ bout chest hair. Talkin’ bout really important issues. The next night featured Tina Fey. And there was this funny preview saying something like, “For years they sat side by side” (Weekend Update). And it had some funny clips, just little snippets. But the last one, I was sure I remembered. And though it took like 20 hours to successfully google it, I have found it! Best part is, I remember watching this when it was new, back in like 2004 at my mom’s house. With a fancy lady named Mrs. Foofy. And probs guacamole.
Er, behold, Jimmy Fallon’s last sketch on SNL: Summer
Addendum: I miss Horatio Sanz. And Maya Rudolph. And there is one of my world famous three-armed hugs in this video. Gross. Awesome!
